"A song about what you see in the deepest darkest night. A song of bittersweet spirituality and unrelenting love." "Even in the Night" was initially written & produced for the Word2Soul Project. The song has been recorded by other singers. In 2009, JJB decided to do his own take on it. For news updates on his forthcoming 2010 album go to http://www.johnnyjblair.com. The arrangement and vocal style is greatly influenced by Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music "Song for Europe" as well as the brooding side of Julio Iglesias. This recording features the splendid guitar work of Tim Breon (JJB played all the other instruments and vocals, including the "boys choir" during the closing verses). One goal of the videography was to pay homage to classic film noir. Footage was shot 11/09 and 2/10 at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport PA. Scott Francis, Anna Pysher, & Hunter Wentzler were the camera crew. Extras (in the lobby scene) included The Brain Brothers, the Francis family, Fred Holland, Don Johnson, Key of V, Marianna Maurer, Brian O'Malley, and Chris & Michelle Pick. This video was produced by Mind's Eye Music Studios and was directed by Scott Francis (JJB did the story board). A high-definition version can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pBU4uIgMms

Mar 19, 2010 - Wow! Great job on both the music and video! It's refreshingly out-of-the-box - even with the film-noir setting.
